We are a German-Italian non-profit association that provides financial support for social projects in Arusha, Tanzania.

What does Elimupendo stand for?

The name "Elimupendo" is composed of the Kiswahili words Elimu (education) and Upendo (love).

At the heart of our commitment is the goal of providing disadvantaged people, especially children, with access to high-quality education.

Elimupendo stands for education born of love, sustained by community engagement, and nurtured by genuine connection. We believe in a future shaped by care, shared responsibility, and responsiveness to the individual needs of each community.

Because real change begins where decisions are made together, with heart, respect and closeness to people.

Support options

Donation 
 

To implement our social projects in Tanzania, we rely on voluntary financial support. Every donation, large or small, helps us realize and advance our projects.

Supporting membership

Become a supporting member and make regular monthly or annual contributions that go towards educational and social projects. This helps contribute to finding long-term solutions to the challenges faced by the community.

One personal way to support a child or young person is to become a school sponsor. By funding their education, you accompany them on their educational journey and open up better prospects for a self-determined future.

Our vision

At Elimupendo, we want to support children, young people, and families in Tanzania on their path to a self-determined, empowered, and participatory life. Close collaboration with our local partner projects is at the heart of our work. Promoting education and empowering disadvantaged people is particularly important to us. We work hand in hand with our partners in Arusha to provide them with the necessary funds and resources for their work. We respect the local knowledge and expertise of the stakeholders and are committed to advancing their projects together.

Davis Preparatory School 

Founded in 2004, Davis Preparatory School is located within walking distance of the Fruitful Orphanage. It offers a comprehensive primary education from kindergarten through Grade 7, following the national curriculum, supplemented by additional learning materials from Kenya and Uganda .

Shine English Medium School

Shine English Medium School, part of the Fruitful Orphanage, was established in 2022 in Kikwe, a rural area outside Arusha. The school offers English-medium primary education from kindergarten to grade 7.

Intel Vibrant Secondary School

Intel Secondary School is located on the Muriet campus outside Arusha and offers boarding secondary education for approximately 120 students. In addition to academic learning, the school emphasizes character development, responsible behavior, and practical learning projects.
